This is the fourth book in the Jaixai series. The Jaixai series follows a young girl growing up in a small village in Laos, a landlocked country in Southeast Asia. In this story, Jaixai names her little cousin who is born during the Rocket Festival, a time when villagers pray for rain and a good harvest season.

Jaixai Dances for Princess Harmony

LAOS

Laos is the only landlocked country in Southeast Asia. Laos is bordered by Myanmar and China to the northwest, Vietnam to the east, Cambodia to the southeast, and Thailand to the west and southwest. Laos traces its history to the kingdom of Lan Xang ('million elephants'), or land of a million elephants.
